Default Bottom bolts on rear suspension - Can't crack them?

I've started changing over to coilovers and got the front end done no problems but I'm have a serious issue with the rear.

The 17mm nut and bolt at the bottom of the rear strut just will not crack for me. I've tried everything kerI can think of. Brea bar, WD40, rattle gun, more breaker bar, heat. None of it is moving it an inch. I'm also starting to round off the nuts from a couple of slips on my bar.

Feels like I'm running out of options, has anybody else had this issue or any other ideas they had for stubborn bolts?

Cheers

If you need some new nuts or bolts for the rear I have a few lying around.
Breaking the rears without a proper impact wrench was a pain, involved a fair bit of WD40 and soaking time.

Where I can find replacement bolts was going to be my next question, will definitely take you up on that one.

I'll keep giving them soaking time, but I think I might end up taking to the nut with a dremel and cut it off. Hopefully that works, then just replace them with new nuts and bolts.

Subaru would be able to get them, there is a thread on here with the contact details of a person at City Subaru, find it and give them a call.

I'll dig them out of my spare box when I get home later on today and can drop them off, pm me your specifics.

Briansmobile or Eric the Car Guy on YouTube had a video on this and they welded the socket to the bolt because it was rounding off. Keep it in mind for an option if the dremel doesnt work perhaps?

Hadn't even thought of that, will keep it in mind if the next step fails.

I took mine to Pedder's cause my rear control arm nuts were too tight. They used a rattle gun on the otherside (side closer to the engine) and then a sturdy spanner on the far side. Came straight off they said...

Never underestimate the extra power leverage has to offer, saved me many times!

I had similar issues on the rear of my WRX AND DC2 when I was installing coilovers.
