Default Abnormal noise at full lock.

Car is 07 sti, just had a service done that included replacing all the diff, gearbox, power steering and engine oils. Since the service i have noticed a new noise. When the steering is close to full lock reversing in and out of car parks either left or right i get a rubbing noise on and off, usually dependent on how much throttle im using. To me it sounded like the wheel was rubbing somewhere but whenever i get under and have a look i cant see any signs of rubbing. Im taking the car back to the garage this week to have it looked. Was wondering what everyones thoughts on the issue could be? Its not the standard dccd noises as i can rule all that out by putting it into full open rear. However the other noise stays no matter what setting im in. I have a feeling it could be the type and brand of oil used in one of the diffs.

Sounds like you've got a binded up diff or uni joint. I had a similar issue on my '02 STI after a particularly good launch at Whoop Ass Wednesday. Thought I'd stuffed it good but by the the next day and 100 odd kms the clunk clunk clunk noise had gone away. Good story.

I made a vid. Dont think its binding as i cant feel anything through the driveline when it makes the noise. As opposed to when i leave the dccd at full auto and donthe same thing. You can hear it best at the very end of the vid. Only happens when im on the throttle, not when im coasting in the circle.

They bind as per usual. I just left it in rear so no one gets confused even though you prob wouldnt be able to hear the binding.

Oil and a friction adative was added to the gearbox and the noise is now completely gone. Workshop stepped up and sorted it all without causing me any problems.
