Because it gets heated up from the exhaust starts to break apart goes up into the turbo and eventually high risk of it fking your turbo or worse!

Also its restricting the airflow of exhaust gases trying to get out...more unrestricted flow = more hp

It was like a fault subi made back in 01...they never did it prior and never did it after

I actually have one sitting at home if you want to buy it...brand new exactly the same as the one on ebay pic

Update.. I installed a airbox and the piping and put the AFM sensor back in, the sensor looked fine.

Started the her up and she seems to be idling at 1500Rpm now and not dropping still stumbling from 1st and 2nd gear and a rattle when I turn the car off. And my check engine light is still on.

Any ideas to what it could be now??
New AFM sensor maybe?
