Default Windscreen washer jet help GC8

Hi all,
Noticed my windscreen washer jets aren't working. When I press the button on the left windscreen wiper stalk, the wipers work but no water. Found this plug unplugged. Does anyone know where this should be connected and/or if it's my problem.
Thanks

That plug is for the rear wiper washer which your car doesn't have so it is just left unplugged. Can you hear the washer pump when you try to use the washers? If so try and blow some compressed air through the pipe to clear any blockages. If you can't hear the pump then check for power at the plugs, if there is power then your pump is probably no good.

Mine sometimes get blocked up with (what I assume is) a calcium sediment. I just use a fine needle to unblock the jets on the bonnet.

Could be blocked jets, e.g. if you wax your car it can gunk up the tips.

If you do clean them (as above with a pin or brush) try not to change the orientation as they are hard to re align. After I cleaned mine they shot water over the roof onto the boot!!

cheers guys. yeah can't hear any operating noise coming from the motor. might look at getting one off ebay or wrecking gc8. are they fairly cheap to buy?

They shouldn't be too expensive most Subaru places or wrecking yards should have some laying around. Super Cheap Auto do sell universal ones for about $10 which I fitted to one of my impreza's, I believe it went straight in but it was awhile ago.
