Hey all...

Since taking delivery of a fine MY99 example, and driving it from Perth to Bunbury, I found it was like a horse trying to bolt !!! Damn, this thing flies !!! Much better than my previous MY99.

Ok, so I'm not totally used to it yet, but cruise control is at the top of my to-do list.

A Loo-oo-oong time ago, and I think 2 forums ago, I remember someone on here gave a description & pics of their aftermarket install to an MY99, which had a real "factory" look to it...

Does anyone here have a cruise fitted to their classic, if so, could they post up some pics & details, brand, where to buy, cost of unit and cost of install etc? Tried search to no avail so far.

Thanks for the info there magic... wonder if the manual Lib cruise system will fit with a straight bolt-up?

If so, does anyone know of someone parting out a manual Lib of around the same year as mine?

Pm Fobz - I'm pretty sure he set up cruise on his & uses the factory cruise stalk etc.

Tip: Get the optional vacuum reservoir, otherwise
when on boost there will be no vacuum

Has several different control options, I got the
steering wheel mounted one.

I have mine hooked to brake and clutch so it will
disengage when I press either.

Dash light on mine is mounted on the pillar with
the gauges. Easy eye height.

Was easy enough to fit. Had same model on my
MY99 and now my MY00.

There may be other types/models etc, around now
that are just as good, but I stuck with what I put
in my MY99 back in early 2000's coz it works well.

Onto Auscruise right now, expecting a callback shortly.

In addition to Fobs' post I will put up pics of install and pricing etc. Probably gonna go with my local installer rather than stuff about with it myself... my tech savvyness could likely do the job but I'm just too busy with other stuff such as 2 high-end PC builds in the next week. Southern Car Care down here in Bunbury have dealt with all manner of makes/models, and are highly recommended by Auscruise themselves.

Will let you all know how it goes

EDIT: As promised, I would indicate the price: turned out to be $895 supplied, fitted and fully guaranteed. Also, as per Fobz's suggestion, went with the full hook-up to clutch, brake and vacuum reservoir.
