I thought it was straight forward to tune this out of the ecu. I'm sure Lane said it could be done with Ecushitek regardless of whether you deleted the pump or not.

I don't know if Ecutek has a work around for the lack of the atmospheric pressure sensor but there is very clear evidence of idle issues of it is not in place.

My tuner writes code for Ecutek and runs it himself but within RomRaider he is wanting me to put the sensor in place.

I suspect that can just solder in a 190k ohm resistor to simulate a 14.7 sensor measurement.

Another learning opportunity.

Decided to remove the atmospheric sensor from the solenoid so that I could plug it back in. Here is what it looks like and where it came from on the LHS air pump solenoid.

I just wrapped some tape around it to keep dirt etc out just in case.

Thanks to Mao and EvoR, some vacuum leaks on the manifold were found and fixed as well as the atmospheric sensor plugged in to an elusive block connector.

Mao will do some more testing of other sensors and idle AFR's just to make sure but it is possible that we can start the tuning process soon.

I have about 300kms on the engine now so still quite a few gentle kms to go before we really try to see how much Mamba is in the GTX3076R.

I am pleased to be slowly ticking off the little items and overcoming the many headaches.

Yay. Idling properly! Vacuum up to stock level.

I still have to investigate correct coolant flow rate to the turbo cartridge but I think all other items are ready to start ECU tuning.

Default Ringland anyone?

It will take a while to get up to 20psi as I am only at 300 kms on the engine so need to gradually break it in rather than just break it.

It is a great feeling to have the car back again. With the smoother engine I can feel the clutch grab and engagement more prominently. Not too harsh but my wife may think otherwise....

I sent off my first real set of logs just now so let's see how the tuning goes.

Also fitted some pads and rotors. Mao even cleaned my calipers. I could have swore that he painted them. They look great.

Ha ha. Who reads from bottom up? I am impressed that I can see the letters. They were invisible on Monday.
