You could get the dent chopped out and a straight piece welded in. Its about $10 worth of ss304 plus the time to weld it in.

It's not a dent, it's a manufactured indentation for clearance.
If you replace it with a straight section it will either rub or it will hang too low. It's supposed to be like that and it's not harming performance.
