DIY Intercooler Waterspray electrical prob, Help needed Bad.
Ok heres my situation, i am making a i/c waterspray for my GC8 (my00),
i have decided to use a sepated pump and bottle as the window washer bottle is of pathetic size which will be located in the boot. My dilemma is that all the DIY's around on forums use different things to what i plan on using. For example the use of a pressure switch, where i will simply be using an on off switch. This is my equiptment and materials thus far: * i have a 10L bottle (Bunnings) * Washer Pump from a Holden (wreckers) * Illuminated Switch (Repco) on switch it has 3 terminals (+), ground and ACC for the illumination of the switch i guess. *10 meters of 4mm tube * I also have electrical wire in two colours and electrical teminals for the switch and also for the battery and ground. My problem is that i have no idea about the electrical install, i does not sound complicated from the DIY's i have read which use different systems. is there any thing else i would need to make the installation successful. If any electrical guru out there could give an insight as to the electrical process. It would be very appreciated. thanks john.....

would the switch light up when u switch on the spray?.. or it illuminates when parkers are on?
you wouldnt need to wire to acc... as u dont need it while car is not running. just run a live power feed /ignition and a ground of course. your best bet is getting an auto IC spray & hobb switch in the long run. better alt is get the genuine manual spray switch.. as it only works at a push of a button .. bonus is not having to click on and off with a generic. p.s. remember to put in a fuse!!!

cost like 2-5bux... just an inline fuse will do ( tube or blade type) just splice the wire anywhere between battery and switch (you mite also want to put one somewhere between the switch and pump... and anything that comes from the battery you want 20-30amp fuse. hope this helps

so its not like a fuse from that of a fuse box
do i cut the wire in half to attach the fuse????? and splicing refers to removing the coating on the wires...right??????????

2. yeha you would cut the somewhere along the wire and you would join the fuse in between the cut. ie.. (battery positive)-------(inline fuse)--------(switch) 3. splicing is pretty much removing the coating put it this way, if you establish a firm plug and nothing will fall out accidently u wont need a fuse. just focus on getting it all working first then go back and wire in a couple fuses.
