Bosch 044 fitted: Surging even worse! :( Got PICS
This time round I fitted the correct 044, bought some fitting from go gear so i could fit the stock fuel sock pickup back on aswell.
install went quiet well, i had to chop a bit of the plastic pipe off the sock and the metal tube (main pickup) so I could fit the pump; as it was too long and would not fit in correctly with all the extra bits to allow for the fuel sock. anyway, went in all good. filled up the car went for a drive and now the surging is even worse! what could be the problem !!??? did you fit the fuel sock at the same level as standard. I've heard that can cause all sort of issues

no, the sock sits lower than normal, as the pump is longer, and the fittings to be able to connect the sock make it sit lower. I fitted the pump up as high as i could but the sock still sits about 1 inch lower than the black level float
