AFAIK VF36 and VF37 are both BB but the 36 has titanium compressor wheel and shaft.

Yeah thats what I originally thought but when I was doing research to do this on my car I was told by everybody I spoke to in the states that the 37 is thrust bearing. This is what I was told:

VF37 is the same compressor housing as VF30 (thrust)
VF36 is the same compressor housing as vf34 (BB)

So the models match up

Really what you want is this bad boy

VF42
Exclusive turbo to the S203/S204 models, this features a twin scroll design with a slightly larger compressor than the VF36/37 turbos and different turbine design (more blades). The VF42 is a roller-bearing turbo and is likely of similar size to the VF22 turbo, but with twin scroll exhaust housing for faster spool and superior top end performance due to reduced exhaust pulse interference.

36 = 1800-2000

42 = 2000US$ is all I have seen, thats buying direct from Sti.

farking hell.

JWS tell me the haven't got 36's, never heard of 42's....and why would you want them anyway...

"just go the 34, twin scroll's aren't efficient above 1.1bar".

$4000 for a Twin scroll kit, includes turbo, up-pipe, downpipe, headers, sump, oil pick-up, dipstick....

aarrgghh

I think the price ok, but you could save a few hundred sourcing the parts yourself.
Here's some pricing I found
VF36 New $2500~
VF36 Used $1500~
VF37 Used $1100~
Exhaust manifold Subaru New $1000~
GT Spec aftermarket headers New $750~
Twin scroll sump inc oil pickup etc $230~
Turbo mounting bracket $160~

I am sure Jon is around 20Psi atm

If you bought the GT Spec headers though....would you need the sump/oil pickup and all that bullshit?

Yeah it should still require the sump, the sump parts are not expensive anyway.
