pete, considered porting the gtp turbo, cooler, headers & dump? im sure we could make some interesting gains on your whole setup without spending a lot of $

no, haven't.

But am interested...It's the headers that are shitting me. Do not want to be pulling them on and off much more than once. Depending on how bad they are cracked or whatever will really dictate what I do.

Cost and time of coating + wrapping is prohibitive if it has to be done more than a few times.

Should get the car back today or tomorrow with the std manifold back on then can make an assessment...

well if you want more power and still want twinscroll you need to go a garret.

I researched so much on this when I was looking into it, look at some compressor maps for the GT series turbos... GT4088?

Suppose to be the same as a 34 in size, as mentioned. whats this nonsense about them not being efficient at higher boost levels?

surely at 1.5bar you could expect 200kwatw + with good supporting mods and peak torque around 3500rpm?
If you want to have a drive of my car?you are welcome to try out the twinscroll in the car and see if that is what you are after.

will the vf37 bolt on to the standard headers ? or do you have to swap the exhaust housing over or something ?

all the twin scroll IHI turbos require different exhaust manifold and different oil sump also.

woohoo!

Savadamoney, got the X-Farces welded, apparently one of the bracket thingys holding the slip joins together broke. So repaired and all is good for the time being, put a tack on the slip join as well for safety, plenty of other joins to expand and contract.

Point to note, some minor hairline cracks appearing, headers been on approx 2 years, ceramic coated and wrapped the whole time.

MAD PROPS GOTO;
