Default high idle hunting then P0638 CEL

05 Forester XT was idling high , no power then stalled and threw P0638 code. Will bring into Stechnic next week. Have done disconnected battery overnight and it started and drove ok this morning but I drove below boost. Oil/ water OK. fuel consumption seems normal. Anything else I should look for during the weekend?

cleaned the TB connectors but left the TB as I didn't have a new gasket. TB internals didn't look gunked up, only a very thin layer of oil.
Tested my TPS using Torque app and OBD2 plug and it seems fine, no flat spots
P0638 Still not fixed.
