digging up and oldie.
clutch is sticking on hard high rpm changes 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th....started sticking a bit but then coming out and this evening on the way to work stuck and stayed there (had to hook my foot under to get it to spring back) is changing the spring simple? assuming clutch master or slave cylinder arent leaking.. cheers fellas

Holy thread revival bat man!!!!
Is your car losing fluid from the clutch master cylinder? Check the rubber hydraulic line between the fire wall and the clutch slave cylinder on top of the gearbox (under the intercooler)....known failure point (they leak). There is not spring so to speak, that causes the pedal to stick. Air in the system will cause the pedal to stay on the floor. Either that or your clutch diaphram spring is inverting = time for new clutch.

The assist spring is really only there to hold the pedal 'up' at the top of it's travel.
