It's not a unit as units only happen over 1 semester. It's the Motorsport Team at the university run by mainly the engineering students.

Though, any student going to UWA from any faculty is most welcomed to join.

Part of the ongoing success of the team is based around research and projects that undertaking this task allows UWAM to give final years and third year engineers.

Anyone interested in going back to study? or taking up a degree?

Im part of U.W.A, let me join the team

I worked on the variable geometry intake manifold in 04, and designed the dashboad electronics in 05. Now I design ECUs for one of the team's sponsers.

AFAIK I am on the alumni list, but J-Lo keeps me informed of the team happenings anyway.

Dont want to thread hijack but maybe now we have someone that can dispell all the crap taht seems to surround ecu's and tell us all exactly what we should and should not be looking for / changing.

I was told of this thread by a mate of mine and thought I'd write a post while i was at it.

Its good to see UWA making an early start in their development as per usual. Im from CMT (curtin motorsport team) and will have the very stressed, tiring and quite possibly regretful task of being team manager this year. Even though we arent in the same league as UWAM this should all be changing from this year onwards with a complete team restructure and totally different approach to the FSAE-A competition underway.

We will however be entering in the WA Speed Event Series along with UWAM and ECU so i might see you out there sometime fred. However, unlike UWAM we only have one car at our disposal and not a whole garage.

Hey Fred, you know there are a few WA Speed Event Series competitors which hate the fact that not only do we (CMT, UWAM and ECU) have free entry but also that they have to compete against UWAM which is going to decrease their winning chances quite considerably.
