Default Buying a 300ZX

I'm looking at getting a 300zx for my girlfriend but know sweet stuff all about em... Was wondering if anyone has owned one before and wouldn't mind me ringing them and asking them stuff about them...

I wouldnt do it. I have seen heaps of them on the back of flatbed's... Plus they are so old... what made in 89? There are way better cars you can get for the price range that are going to be newer... I would steer clear.

I see it as a buying someone else's problem..

This one is owned by an old dude who's got a farm. he's got race horses and shit, think he's pretty loaded.. he's selling it for 10k.. 92 model, 94k on the clock. twin turbo model, i took it for a test drive, seemed slow as shit, dunno if thats coz i'm used to my WRX or if somethings wrong with it.. i expected more from a twin turbo V6...

you will regret it, the engine needs to be removed for even the most basic maintenance tasks.

The TT fuckn flies so there is a problem with it

Don't do it.

I was going to get one years ago, my old mans good mate (used to own the Toy Shop) advised me not to go near them, have major electric problems which turn into major $$$ Get her a Soarer, they are the best car for their money. I had a V8 and it was so good, I miss it! the TT's rock however the ceramic doovahikies in the turbo can give you grief if they haven't been replaced or some crap

P.S You could also get her this awesome Integra Type R Mention you saw it on Perth WRX and get $1000 put on to the price

Dont touch the 300zx. The NA model is okay. But if your after a comfy cruiser with a bit of grunt, then I would recommend a Soarer as has been mentioned already.

Also consider a NA Supra. They are suprisingly quick even though they are NA. I think its 0-100 in 6 or so seconds.
