Ohh helll yeah Adz, that 1.8HP Epic .18 is a bit over the top

I've fixed a few PWRX'ers RC cars....Dan's lil bro's Tamiya Terracrusher is another one, dropped an O.S. CV-RX .15 into that. Fixed Sean from ASG's crash damaged Kyosho FW-05T, and did some upgrades on Jme's TG10 a few years back.

Adz, still got the pics from our PWRX RC day many years ago? Tamiya pryde!

Fozzy and I were into RC rock crawling for a bit, but got out of that too so I could spend the cash on real cars.

Some pics from my collection:

My Mini-T 1/18 scale electric buggy, stock as a rock

After it copped an airbrushed shell, 8000kv brushless motor and ESC, 11.1V lithium-polymer battery pack, carbon fibre and billet as far as the eye could see, and paddle tyres (ignore front foam road tyres, they were just for display until my matching front tyres arrived from the USA).

The 8000kv motor did 8000rpm per volt....11.1v, you do the math

My custom built rock crawler.

Bender Customs chassis, Traxxas T-Maxx shocks and links, Traxxas bandit trans, narrowed wheels, rock rings, 55 turn lathe motor, etc etc...max speed of 2km/h, but enough torque to rip the tyres clean off the rims. It also had 90 degrees of articulation.
Shell is a Chevy C-10 airbrush painted in anodized green.

Here are some pics from a crawl day that myself and Scott (Fozzy) did out at Como Beach. Both our rigs had similar specs, but Scott Rubicon had a few more bits of bling...namely, billet alloy wheels!!

My Kyosho V-One RR Evolution on-road race car. Spent around $2800 on it in its pictured state, right before I shipped it off to the highest bidder from eBay (for just under half its cost).

Custom airbrushed Lola shell, every part from the Three Racing catalogue including a pile of carbon fibre, and some rare Kyosho Team parts including a World Championship winning billet T6 aluminium chassis and kevlar drive belts. Had an Italian Sirio Evo 2 .12 nitro race engine, made 1.6HP at around 48000rpm, front one way diff and bigger billet pulleys. On paper, it could hit 130km/h at top speed in 2nd, which I did many times down my street and at Hillarys car park. One time, it came unstuck and went backwards into a kerb, and smashed into a million pieces. It put a big dent in my spare parts box, thats for sure!

My HPI Savage SS nitro monster truck.

Fairly stock, apart from a bunch of critical mods to make it stronger. Stronger diffs, a good air filter, decent servos, servo horns and steering bellcranks, billet steering knuckles, and a tough SH .28 big block. 2.5HP and a buttload of torque at around 30000rpm. Twin drilled brake discs were used to haul it down from speed.....was heavy and big, very dangerous coming at your ankles at its top speed of around 70km/h!

Also had a nice set of paddles on it (fronts were only for photos, replaced with tyres that could actually steer in the sand), black rims and an airbrushed Hummer H2 shell. The paddle tyres would kick up 10 foot roosts fairly easily.

Used to cost me 100-200 bucks each time I took it out for a big day of bashing, mainly due to the 30 foot jumps at Bullcreek BMX track...bent chassis, bent shock shafts, broken suspension arms, bent bulkheads, etc...it copped a LOT of abuse!
