Let's not forget it was our iron ore that helped make these monstrosities. Now they are trying to sell it back to us after they completely fucked on it?? Anyone with half a brain wouldn't and shouldn't go near this shit.

End of the day Australian government can import thousands of these if they wish cause it would take a fool to ACTUALLY BUY these cars. And if they are dumb enough to, well..

The problem is that it's not just the fools who buy one of these things that feel the brunt of it.

A few years back I turned my Lancer in front of a Mitsubishi Challenger which was doing about 70kph. Impact on my front left corner and his front right, so almost exactly what the standard offset-impact test is. The two occupants of the Challenger walked away with a few scrapes and a couple of broken fingers - trapped between her body and the airbag.

I got a Due Care & Attention charge and a small fine. If it had been one of these Landwind things, I'd probably have been facing a judge on two charges of culpable driving, along with a lifetime of guilt for what should have been a survivable accident.

On the up side, they will be nice and soft if one pulls out infront of a subaru, will be like crashing into a bean bag.

until a piece of the car comes off and goes into our windows... did you see the glass break in that test. That was horrible to think the damage that car could do.

Cant believe they are going to allow this after the story on the news last night with some Safety Minister saying that the majority of deaths on the road are caused because of the poor safety ratings of the cars rather than unsafe driving. How does the govt back pedal on that one!!
