there will defo be a PS4, but not that soon.. sony will need to try and recoup some losses from the PS3 before cannibilising its sales with a PS4

ill disagree. with the ps3 doinf so poorly. sony could pump out a PS4 with only a slight alterations (read upgrade) and place a focus on the media hub ideal. or even call its a ps3²

this could also be a way of recouping losses as it could be based on the existing system, with alterations to make it is more marketable to developers and 'mum and dads'

Sony wont put a new PS version out for a few years, there will just be
upgrades for the current PS3.

Dont believe everything you read on forums.

The only problem with the PS3 is the price of the system and games,
not much wrong with the actual console.

Atleast not my JAP spec one anyway

yeh i'd say an updated PS3 would be feasible, rather than naming it a PS4..

has anyone actually got a PS3?? i think i know like one person with one.. ive played motorstorm on one at JB's and it was less than spectacular, but then again i havent played much of interest on the 360.. think il stick with my PC for the moment

i know a fair few people in the industry and there is 0 chance, they are making a few changes to the ps3 hardware as far as a bigger drive etc is concerned but that about all

..OMG! thats so sick it makes other things that are sick look less sick..

PS3 is so highly priced at the moment, it hasnt even come down one little bit...they are following Apple's lead with artificial pricing by the sounds of it, and this will also help them to break even.

I'm sure they are nowhere near break even yet, because sales are very poor compared to previous generation Playstations, and even the competition.

Catch 22 though, because many are waiting until the price falls before they make the purchase.

There will be a monster cable 300 or 400 included in the pack by christmas instead of that crappy one that comes with it, but the price won't go down. I trust my sources
