this will fill the cracks and grain in the timber and will be fine once you apply 3 coats of a marine varnish. |

i am not sure bud, you might have to email them.
It should darken the timber a little but other then that i would not know. This is just experience from working at bunnings in the paint section |

no worries mate. Cheers guys for all your help. Will try sanding first, hopefully will not loose toomuch timber. Teak is pretty strong and loosing a couple mm off the top should be fine.

I have, go with the first suggestion if you want it to last and forget about bunnings supplies
