Several articles around the same time (Aug 2012 onwards) have claimed that this was just a test mule to see how the chassis would react to the WRX/STI gear being installed.

Will be waiting to see what happens in the US over the next couple of weeks!

This was posted on the previous page as well.

Fixed.
Wait out the first generation of the new engine (if there is a new engine/chassis) to see if there are any improvements to it in the following year.
MY08/MY09 comes to mind.

I think that is all it really is.

What better way to get miles on a new engine than throw it in a new shell and go for a drive.

I'm surprised at this point there hasn't been any spoilers etc etc of the new shape for the WRX/ STi varient.

Yeah those pics are pretty old, everyone on NASIOC concluded it was just a test mule.

Haven't Subaru pretty much said next WRX design will be separate to Impreza? So from that i am expecting it to be quite aggressive looking.

I'm guessing 2 door aggressive looking thing. More than likely to be hatch.
