Dude, I made the move from UK to Perth last year, there may be one problem, thats finding a place to rent around christmas. When are you hoping to arrive? I'm living north of the river myself, but still havent decided wher in perth i want to settle. Also being fresh of the boat is a major turn off for employers, so be prepared to work doing crap jobs for a while, dont expect to walk into something similar straight away.

In general even the roughest places in perth are compared to the UK, absolutly fine, the crime rate here is laughable compared to any of the citys back home, there are really no real places that living could be considered bad. the whole standard of living is higher here for the average joe's. so bear that in mind when you first arrive, have a look round and decide where you want to be when you know the place.

My cousins lives in Ballajura, and I reckon its a great area...their street is behind Ballajura Community College, and its quiet and very pleasant.

The main advantage of living in Ballajura is that you're close to Malaga, where a number of workshops are including ASG

Balla's is great, know of alot of people that live there no problems, maybe south balla's got a little problem but anywhere there is young familys there going to be a little crime... I'm in north balla's and probally the noisest bastard there lol...
