Its a good job but its more of a second job... I'm looking for something with more hours so I can earn more. Interest rates have gotten stupid, Food prices have gotten stupid, Fuel prices have defeniatly gotten stupid, yet wages have stayed the same.

Makes no sense to me. But then I'm, not a politician. Hrmmmm maybe I should be.

I've worked security in the past (a few times for Tode of all people!) and it's seriously not worth it.

Used to do the door at Mulaloo and Bar 120, Clink, and some others. At the moment I do Wanneroo, Yanchep, Dusk, Maxx, Metros City, Carine and a few other places.

I fill in at alot of places when guys are away aswell.

Oh yeh and if you mean Trident I think that that was the old name but I'm not sure. Security is a dodgey business hahaha.

I have been in the job for coming up 9 years now and still enjoy it. I enjoyed the academy but it was full on with everything as they stuff as much shit in your head as they can week after week. Basically you do a big screen dump at the end of the week on the exams you do.
The academy had changed a bit since I was there and it has changed a lot more since then again. Basically they have made it easier which is a shame. I personally think they need to keep a certain standard otherwise some of the probies coming out are ...... well............ below average shall we say.
As for the job itself, once you come out of the academy, you start to learn the job all over again (how its really done so to speak). You learn what things you need to remember day to day and others that you use once in a blue moon.
I did GD's for 8 years and felt it was a time for a change so I am now doing a stint in Traffic. I will get a couple more courses under my belt which will be good and then I will re-assess my career direction after that as I want to be a dog handler.
Anyway, go for it, its got good diversity and job security and the pay could be worse after all.
