Default pocket laptops, which one?

im in the market for a small laptop, need to stay connected and portable all the time now and i don't want to lug around a big machine. ive been looking and having a play with these three, any others worth considering? opinions?

p series, mini 100 and the air,

at the moment im favouring the p series, simply because of its size.

I have the macbook air and love it as a travel laptop.

If you are just doing the basics of email/documents then all are fine. Macbook air is still a large size to carry around (13.3" screen), but very light. Sony would be smaller with the 8" screen.

Hey Mate,

There's a few different options around these days, as every manufacturer is releasing "NetBooks".

The Sony above has some pretty poor specs - slower processer and the fact that it runs Vista means it will run slower again.

The HP isn't bad, i've sold a couple of these to clients who love them. Personally my favourite is the Asus EEE PC. They're awesome little notebooks with amazing (7+hours) battery life.

If you want any more info give me a shout.

I know you love your sony.. but for my recent trip i picked up the Acer Aspire One

9" screen - 160gb HDD - 1gb Ram - Wireless - Windows XP and decent battery life

Think it cost me around $650 from Harvey Normans. Awesome laptop, quick, reliable, plenty of hdd space to dump images etc.

I still like the macbookair - one of the first lappys i've seen that i've gone "ooo do want"

Sony is always bling.. cant really go wrong there - except for vista (fail on netbook)

Oh the aspire one has a gloss white top - that provides a great canvas for some custom work :
