My house is in the lockup stage of building...

Anyways, today I got a bill from my builder for the water meter getting stolen.
As far as I knew, it is the builder's fault if shit gets stolen until handover, and they should have insurance! When building started, I was given a certificate of insurance for the house...

I dont think I should pay for this stolen water meter...

Thoughts please!

To my knowledge they only cover the house it self. Services such as water, power and gas are unfortunately your problem to deal with.

Only time they would have anything to do with it, was in the event they damage it. Then they're liable to repair it.

but i wouldnt make any problems with neibours as can make your life stressful.
not worth the hassel.

fence is colourbond. council or developer will not get involved. when the restriction covenant is breached and we do not settle, i can take him to court and no doubt win....... but then that would not neighbourly.

painting is an option but the that will fade etc and certainly not be as long lasting and simply deferring the issue for a while....

when we met today it was very productive and he apologised for the email he sent. we are working on options and he knows he stuffed up.... i am waiting on his decision. i am only pursuing it as my home will honestly look terrrible. Any wanna buy a dark grey colourbond fence? one side only.....

The water meter is not covered and sorry to say, is your responsibility to replace. Shit I know, but my builder warned me about it earlier on in the process.

I was told its a fairly common thing. No idea why they'd want it other than to be assholes.

Maybe to fudge the numbers on their own meters by replacing
theirs with yours, that's what poppped into my head when I read
it.

Default front wall / power dome

Hey guys.. pls refer to attatchment. I have put in plans for a front courtside wall. Plans came back where a section of the front wall has been jutted back to accomodate a power dome. I want my front wall to go straight across and not jutted in...why can't the power dome be behind the wall and can the power dome be located elsewhere?
Thanks in advance

Takes 2 minutes to replace your water meter with another one, fill the pool , put yours back on.

Alternatively, replace the water meter for a couple of weeks, pump your hydro setup with vigour, put it back before the reading.

So im told.
