Yep, increases the floor space internally without costing more for extra roofing materials. I had to add eaves to the house i chose due to the developers restrictions. Cost me nearly 2k extra...
I finally got council approval last week, and i'm now on the "slab list"!!! So hopefully in the next couple of weeks i should start seeing something actually happening on my expensive sandpit.

Made the final payment to the builder for our house on
Tuesday, so I rang them up yesterday to book a time to get the keys and let them know there are still a few things to that the supervisor still hasn't done. This is the reply I recieved: "tell Someone that actually cares about it and come get your keys" Let's just say I was not shocked as they have been like this throughout the whole process! Going to pick up the keys right now so things may get interesting! FUCK CONTENT LIVING!!!!!!!

Did anyone have to sign an agreement saying that you have to book a meeting to view your house while under construction? Apparently you need to be escorted by the supervisor who holds a blue card, If the building inspector catches you on the work site on your own you get a fine, which is $5000 for the first offense then $6000 for the second offense.
Apparently its a HIA contract anyone else sign this?

^^ not sure if builders make you sign any thing I do know its the law. You must have a blue (green now i think) card to work on site and be with somebody if you enter a site.

You can get a blue card online for about $75. Blue dog training or something I think its called.
Theoretically the builder has "posession of site" so they control who is allowed onsite. Most of the time that includes the owner. Brendon
