The chippies started on my roof yesterday and got heaps done, wont be surprised if they are finished and out of there before Friday.
So far so good with the building side of things. Everytime there is anything to do with the office people it is a nightmare. |

We started in June, should be done within 2 months. Had a few problems but having my girlfriend work for the builder makes everything so much easier.

i will be building through homestart too... signing the building contract next week. the pre-approval and planning process has been quite extensive, and has taken longer than first anticipated. Every time I've rung Homestart for an update, they say "it'll be 2 weeks"...we started plans etc late july, and they are gonna scrape it through right to the FHOG deadline with unconditional approval and plans....
Land developer has been really antzy about the finance approvals too, have had to apply for 2 extensions already! block is 600sqm and house 215sqm. |

I am building with In-Vogue, verrrry long Pre-start process... (started in Jan)
Slab down at the end of June, just about at plate height, so far so good. I just has issues with the pre start due to all of the changes I made, and the extravagant cost they wanted to charge me for them! |

I wouldnt think twice about it really, I had to get an extension 4 or 5 times and my brother who just built was even more (7 or so)

I have just built a new home with new generation (summit homes) and I would highly recommend them to anyone. we had no problems with them at all and I want to build again because it was an enjoyable experance.
the guy to talk to there is Kim Dickson. |

it probably got more to do with the banks. they wont release funds unless the title is issued, or at least the Plan is In order for Dealings. But developers dont want to many titles sitting due to teh fact you have to start paying rates on these blocks. Prior to this you actually have to get the plan approved by Landgate, WAPC with all items signed off by water, power and local councils. Landgate also then has issues with workloads (were working on some plan lodged 5 weeks ago last time i talked to them.) Before i upset anyone, there is a system in place to speed FHB plans through as quickly as posible with minimal issues. It's a work in progress #NOTE: The above is all personal opinion and should not be interpreted as an official statement from either myself or my unnamed employers. |
