Ahh me "affogato al cafe" (drowned in coffee). I think traditionally it should be a single shot. However, these days there's so many affogato-style deserts around. It's an absolute mollestation of what when done right is a beautifully smooth desert with an amazing contrast of hot and cold sensations in your mouth together. (Hmmmm makes me want one now) Basically, if somethings got coffee or coffee flavoured syrup poured over it, they call it affogato styled. Like starbucks affogato frappuccinos. "Coffee" flavoured syrup poured over a frozen milkshake type thingo

Put some ice blocks in your girlfriends mouth then blow your load in it...similar sensation I'm told.

LOL!

I'm a fanatic but not even I worry about which is poured in first, or the smooth contrasts in my mouth

You can tell they do it properly when they give you the shot and the glass with ice-cream in it seperate from each other so you can pour it yourself. I think that's the coffee shops way of proving to you it's not syrup or some cheap/slack ass version of an affogato.

I'm presuming the "mmmm" is as in "yummmm". As in, you like the taste of it.
Right...
