is it just me or have the tradies all turned into arseholes again how that they are in demand again. With a bonus being that first home buyers are unsure of the building process and some companies are taking advantage of this?

^^^ You are an absolute champion, thanks for that mate.

Just changed over from my crappy 20000/512kbps Liberty 12gb mth
plan for $109.95mth to the snazzy new Ultra fast Ulimate Liberty
plan with 50gb a mth for only $10 more.

Apparently it's 100mbps, so should be ok

Good to see they dropped their prices as there was a lot of unhappy
velocity community people out there.

I cranked up to the 100mbit plan last night.
Used 20GB in one night and I was only babying it.

I've gotta get a new 100/1000 Ethernet to feel the upgraded speed,
I'm stuck with a 10/100 one on my lappy at the moment.

Actually good excuse to do a full pc upgrade I think.

Will be building in Ellenbrook soon and have to use Velocity (i think). Just curious as to the general consensus as to whether it is any good.

Is there much fluctuation in downloading speeds? Only concern really as I will mainly download movies etc and also need a good speed so there is no lag when playing poxy seppos on COD: MW2!!!

10/100 should be fine, most ONT's only support 93mbit anyway.
I've also herd if you are an existing subscriber, the old router isn't capable of faster than 20 or 50mbit. I bought my own because I was after specific features. I got a Linksys WRT310N it is all 10/100/1000 and Wireless N.

If your not noticing much of a speed increase, keep in mind also that 100mbit internet is much faster than ADSL2+.
Some webservers simply can't provide you the information fast enough to use the full potential.
However Apple's website is one of the fastest I've seen, particularly for downloads, nearly maxing out my connection as above.

^^^New customer as of last month so they sent me one of the newer
Thomson TG782T modems that is apparently capable of handling their
highest speeds plan.

Still need to upgrade though well that's what I'm telling the mrs
anyway

Thomson is no longer the latest, they are now sending out Netgear routers as of the beginning of this month.

^^^Have you got the model # of these new netgear ones, may just ring up and have a few strong but friendly words about paying $319 for an out of date modem just 1 month ago.

Hmmmmm, not happy Jan!
