Default War on Millipedes

So after 3 days of endless sweeping and squishing, I have declared war on the millipedes.
Tomorrow is D-Day.
I shall head to Bunnings and find some hardcore bug powder and will give my garden the "blanket treatment". It will be that out of hand, you will think it has been snowing.

What is the point of me telling you all this?
None.
But if you hear some crazy guy screaming in the North Perth area - like he has just committed genocide, you will know why.

They live in the soil until it rains, then they come out. The are attracted to light, turn off any external lights and they'll stop marching towards your house. The recommended solution by the CSIRO is to put a bucket of water in the ground with a weatherproof light above it and let them march into the water

They are called Portuguese Millipede, and are no where near as tasty as Nandos.

I used to end up with ~150-200 sitting on my kitchen roof

There used to be a CSIRO page on killing them but it looks like its been removed. Snailbait around the house plus some surface sprays will kill them

I use the blue Baygon snail pellets to kill the Portuguese millipedes. You can/could buy the millipede parasite to spread in your garden. The blue pellets might be dangerous to non- target creatures like slaters, skinks or frogs. Use it once in the specific target area.
here we go, this one has specific chemicals

Coopex seems to keep them away, just mix it up with water and spray it around the outside of your house.

After seeing this I realised I have some of these f*ckers around my place.
I agree they're not as tasty as Nandos. Not even on toast with honey.
