Ive started to notice few V6 engines, kia karnival and honda accords for example, they have like a whining noise, sounding like the power steering pump is low on oil..but clearly its not

just wondering if anyone knows why the engines make them 'sorta' annoying noise

could be an issue with drive belt or timing belt tension, too much or not enough. also tensioner or idler pulleys on drive belts or the timing belt could have noisey bearings, if that helps u out...

but why would all the new V6's make them noise though??

what are you doing driving a kia anyway?

Nah my zio hired one because we have a cousin from Italy over so we hired a v6 Kia karnival

Long Serpentine drive belt causes it....Harmonics.

Listen to any v6 commodore...

Check its not your wife/girlfriend in the passenger seat.

I have a Kia Rio as a daily and it makes the same noise. It's an easy fix, you just turn the radio up.

Haha I'm not fused, only a rental car anyway, but a lot of new v6's do it and just curious why they all make that sound
