Default Wall foundations broken

I am currently building a house and went down today to see the progress. When i got there i saw that the foundation for the garage wall had cracked and moved away! The foundation has been covered by dirt so i hadn't seen it before.

Pics:

Have emailed the builder tonight, just thought i would see what you guys thought...

Update:

Haven't heard back from the builder but went down to the house tonight to have a look.....and they built the wall! So i had taken a trowl with me so dug into the sand and they haven't fixed it!!!!

Also measured footings..were about 200mm

Get it dug out, re-work the ground below it ie water/compact it then pour the footings again.

Ask for a compaction certificate for the footings. Need minimum 6's and no large jumps between test points or you will get uneven settlement. Footings shouldnt separate like that. Its smart to put in trench mesh also to help avoid this but project builders dont to save $.

If this is a post pour crack (can't say 100% from pics) then it will definitely keep moving and the brickwork will crack if they build on them.

Havn't seen that happen before...

Looks like the brick carter ran over your footing with his tractor and the recent rain washed it away, all too common to be honest. Brickies wont lay on that especially with Florentine bricks (awful choice btw).
