government
labour has won the election even though they won less seats and less votes, the fact that it came down to 3 peoples decision is the biggest down fall in our voting process. lets hope they actually follow threw with the promises they have made during the election period. but im expecting another 3 and a half years of terrible policy making and failed promises.

Getting in on Page 1 / before the lock.
I am extremely disappointed with the outcome. Howard and Costello saved Australia from Financial ruin, it took well over 10 years and KRUDD fucked it within a year on the finance side of things and saying sorry to aboriginals. Now we have fanta pants about to completely fuck this country up. Not happy. |

I predict Hocking to lead coalition to landslide victory next election.
At least the market will stabilize now with a government confirmed and interest rates sitting tight for the last of the third quarter.

My prediction is another election within the next 6 to 12 months! Things will spiral and get messy!

Although I am labor biased, I still think its better to have Labor trying to make things happen with the others keeping tabs, than the libs doing nothing and others crying out for things to get done.
Pretty impressed that the independants took a good hard look at the policies too, although Katter did a nice job of trying to secure his seat for the next election and put himself in a primary position for a role as speaker. Was also a bit bs how Katter said a signifcant factor in his choice for the libs was the outting of Rudd. That has nothing to do with policies and the good of the country. That event is over and done with. I'll put money on Rudd being back as a party leader before the decade is out

I think he has the drive and the support. I dont think he likes having unfinished business, otherwise he would of quit already. I also get the feeling a lot of people who didnt like him when he was PM thought differently of him after his exit speech.
Also, he has probably already learned a thing or two about how his leadership style was perceived and would be a better PM if he did get another shot.

I don't think it makes any difference who gets in with a minority gov. Lib or labour. They will be battling to do anything productive until someone calls the next election.
Waits for take 2.
