Stayed here, it's fantastic! We stayed in both the Pool Villa and Deluxe Pool Villa and I prefered the Pool Villa as the kitchen is outside (because who cooks in Bali). It's in Seminyak too so central to everything.

It's always an issue in any "warmer" place with poor maintenance on evaporative systems or the "water spray" cooling devices.

Just avoid sitting in areas where they use it.

Kym - regarding Nusa Dua, anything beyond the security gates is a rip off. Most of the hotals have a free shuttle bus to the resturant section outside the security gates which will be more reasonably (but still more expensive than say Legian/Kuta) and most resturants will have free transport back to your hotel if you eaten meals.

As an example - small Bintang in Nusa Dua Resort and Spa bar was 35,000 where as at restaurant outside was 20,000 and can be had for 12,000 in some places in Kuta.

I, in general avoid Nusa Dua, too far away, too expensive, and the beaches are this weird pebble not sand.

Anyone that is going PM me and I'll send you the name of my long term Bemo driver and tour guide. His team is great, trustworthy and very reasonably pricing.

if you are into golf i highly recomend it,

its more expensive $120 per person, but you get to play basicaly pro golf courses, with caddys (young indo chicks) who are actually usefull really good at reading the green.

picked up from our hotel in a 5 series

quality day - its just farken hot!

white water rafting is great fun, the safari park is also a good days fun, Bitang is about $25 a carton! when we last went (over new year) make sure to get some fireworks, and some illegal laser pointers ;D and smuggle them back the scooters are also great fun, although its crazy, you wonder how no-one is ever injured. If you were staying longer I would highly recommend going to Lembongan Island (off the south coast) you can do it as a day trip, snorkelling is amazing; but there is a restaurant on the Island run by Aussie's called Scallywags, excellent food, service and prices

Have fun

we are honeymooning, so spending 5 days in Nusa Dua to get away from the rush of Kuta.. doubt we will leave the hotel room (if you get my drift)

That might be a little out of my price range for a quick cheap holiday

Wishful thinking haha

Nusa has heaps and heaps of Russians there. The menus in Nusa are in English, Japanese and Russian... WTF?

last time I was in Bali, had this Russian family (? - definately from somewhere like that anyway) staying in the hotel we stayed in. The daughter was flat out 10 out of 10. Everyone in the hotel was checking her out when she was in the pool, and I mean everyone. Some aussie chick staying there went and got a photo with her because she thought she was stunning. It was funny, even the 2 topless sunbaking Scottish birds didn't get looked at when the Russian chick came down to the pool in her bikini
