Agree with you there mate, I had an HSV VX GTS, sold it at 30,000km. Last I heard the engine had shat itself completely at 60,000km.

you my friend are one unlucky mofo! i have nothing but praise for my fleet of blue oval ethanol drinking weapons of the black!

remember one simple fact too, the first of any ford series is always the one to avoid just like your FG. case in point, EA or AU or BA....the subsequent EB, AUII/III and BF's are rock solid!

as for the turbo6's they continue to be the best value for money thrill rides out there, hands down and with next to no money reinvested back into them, hard to fault in anyway...then again im a little biased as ive had generally good success with them (fine print: any shortcoming or afflection are owner related and not due to the car's fault) i will say this, the typhoon did blow its crappy standard subwoofer shortly after purchase, but nothing macey magic couldn't fix!!!

its strange, one of the guys i work with has a XR6 turbo ute. it hasnt skipped a beat.

better to be well informed with everything, so you know how hard to stick it to them!

fg xr6t's have about a 20rwkw advantage over the older series straight out of the block but with a smaller factory turbo and god awful intake manifold design they no longer support skyhigh telephone numbers unless you retro fit the earlier design or go aftermarket. its amazing that well over 500rwkw has been recorded using factory bottom ends and turbo's......now all you ford haters, stick that in your crackpipe and tukker away!

Might be time to get today tonight etc onto it, I've seen a few stories where they exposed all the bullshit the owner of lemon cars have had to deal with and even kept on at the manufacturer until they caved in and gave them a new car.

Can't really lose anymore than you already have.
