Why?

The version he ran didnt shift all the fast - I believe you could of shifted faster yourself

Silvio had some problems crop up which hindered the build of the 2 door. He still has it and will be completed one day.

from memory it had a compressed air bottle set up to an piston/ram which was fired by the motec to change gears at the right time but they never got it working properly.

Sad to see it being sold with a stock motor, he must be keeping the old gear for the 2dr...?

im saying the sequential i want shifts in 50ms i think that will help greatly at the drags...

WOW macey that looks unbelievable hopefully he gets it sorted in the next few years as it will be amazing if its all done, tubbed front and i assume rear end.. Nice..

It was an ikeya type shifter arrangement (developed for wrc and sourced from racetorque i believe)with lock out reverse and motec driven pressure switch. Simply accelerate get to your shift point pull on the lever, the ecu would retard the ignition enough to release load and away you go grabbing the next gear. A complicated setup that required a fair bit of tuning, but when it was sweet it was epic. Not very street friendly though.
