TJ - if it's a single piece carbon fiber rod, say for Bream fishing, etc. it's like big $'s and definitely not something you want waving around on your roof in the wind.

It's weird, they can handle 1-4kg of fish, but if they get a single knock in the wrong spot they'll shatter on you the next time they're under stress. Fickle things.

Yeppers so much easier to have rods rigged and ready then carry to rocks/beach and clip terminal tackle and away you go..

Than rigging up a two piece rod at rocks/beach etc etc etc
