A few days ago my bro's car got broken into at a train station, along with about a dozen others. Thankfully the pingpingpingpings were caught (only juvies!) but they got something like $40 from ALL of the cars!! Do you know what the total amount of insurance excess would be from a dozen people claiming just a broken driver's window? And it's probably silly excess so they'll pay out-of-pocket to fix it. Well over $5k of repairs just for $40.
