PLE I presume? Better places to buy from.. Not a fan of the G.Skills either, but that's a matter of opinion.

If I have time During lunch(Pending Workload) or When i get home, Will offer some alternatives, better prices etc

missing a PSU unless you already have one, but other than that looks good
maybe get a 6950 as a gfx card is you gona play games?
unless you are overclocking you dont really need 1600mhz ram only 1333 should do it

3rd edit sigh: http://www.staticice.com.au/ use this site and filter it to WA to get best prices or interstates if you are willing to wait.

Purpose for PC? Gaming? Media/Photography?

If either of the above, why not go i7 and triple channel ram ?
Unless budget says no :P

PSU/Case/Peripherals = check

Playing games for sure, whats your concern with current choice if gfx card?

Purpose is for a bit of everything really.

A left field idea, but second hand Bloomfield/X58 gear is extremely cheap these days. i7 920 + X58 board + triple channel 6GB kit can be had for $350 or less, and will rape an i5 setup purchased new

I don't understand why folks with Bloomfield/X58 setups are migrating to Sandy Bridge and/or preparing for Ivy Bridge.

PM JasonMurray, he'll knock up a few prices for you. and build it for you too

He'll be doing mine soon as i'm too lazy to do it myself.

Triple Channel ram is slightly slower than Dual.

I lol at GSkill...

I had that exact 6870HD - Biggest heap of shit ive ever owned. Overhyped, and good on paper. Was crap in reality.

GTX560Ti or 570 preferably. How old is the Hard Drive you will be using?

Would have thrown this at Jason but already had the PC at MCG as it was on its way out and finally gave way when we had a power out last weekend.

I probably wont notice as much as some other computer users but I'm pretty sure it'll be a lot better then my previous setup.

Had one of the IT guys check out my list and they said it will be a pretty killer setup for the amount of money being spent.

Cant really put a age on the drive, will check when I get it back.

Drives are pretty cheap these days so I might check back with options later.

Thanks for the heads up.
