Default Running - Treadmill - Knee Issues

I am sure these forums have plenty of runners so I will ask my question here.

I have started running again on a treadmill. Yes I am carrying at least 20kg too much weight. I bought myself a pair or Asics Nimbus Gel 13's. I have had these in the past and found them better than Kayano's as they don't have as stiff of a sole.

I am following the C25K guide as I would probably have a heart attack trying to go whole hog running for 40 minutes.

I found the run easy as, just doing 60 second walk 90 second jog at only 8km/h today. I ran at 5am today, by 12pm my right knee on the inside fucking kills, like a stabbing feeling, no clicking grinding or anything like that.

I am not giving up and will just suck down glucosamine and rub on shitloads of tiger balm but can anybody give any tips on relieving the issues caused by treadmill running (cbf running in the 1-5degree cold).

Cheers
