Canning Vale PWRX'ers need your thoughts
So I'm looking to buy my first home in Canning Vale and with a view to settling down, family in a couple of years yada yada.
From all my research CV looks the goods, modern homes, reasonable block sizes (not overly sub divided) but I'm wondering what is it actually like to live in? Are the schools as good as everyone says? Has that new freeway project at leach helped improve the traffic to/from the city in peak? And are there any areas to avoid? Any thoughts welcome, even if you hate the place! P.s Any Huntingdale PWRX'ers feel free to chip in, thats my backup suburb at the moment! Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

My biggest gripe with Canning Vale ( I travel there often at peak hour for appointments for work) is that coming from the city or leaving in the morning to go towards the city, there is literally only 2 ways in and out of the massive massive Suburb.
Nicholson/Garden st is a joke both morning and night (don't get me started about when you get stuck waiting for the goods train). Ranford rd is even worse! Ps: and then you still have to deal with the freeway for 45 mins before/after putting up with half an hour of Canning vale traffic if you work in or around the city....

Im the same as REXXED.
Love where I live, but hate the traffic. Oh btw... Forest Lakes is 100x better than Huntingdale! Oh and its really safe. I left the roller door up with the car unlocked and keys on the roof. And the front door open and unlocked as well last night. Yes I did have a bottle or two

Been here 12YEARS. Peak hour either way is horrendous. Even the rat runs are clogged now. Dost effect me often as I start early finish early.
Blocks are over priced IMO. Schools are the same as everywhere (i went to Carey college from 7-11) Canningvale would he heaps better if it wasn't bordered by gosnells and thornlie |

Yeah I had looked at QP but too subdivided, in my book the value is in the land and a 350m2 block just aint gonna cut it! Im also after 4x2 and there aren't too many in QP they are all 3x2.
Got 7x home opens in CV and the surrounding area today so will get a good idea of what to expect. Cheers for the heads up on Forest Lakes! I'll check it out again. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

Might also pay to look around Southern River / Piara Waters / Harrisdale as well.
