Denon 3312 amp with B&W speakers. One thing to keep in mind is with the small children you will not be running high volumes all the time so you want an efficient speaker that is not too large or you will have to turn it up very loud to get the speaker working properly. Also I find that the I have the sub switched off most of the time because that is what wakes the kids/wife up,

one thing i've learnt from watching "fat pizza" there is no substitute for a large subwoofer.

Chicks love subwoofers....and burnouts
Rexxar and REXXXED like this.

Efficiency isn't determined by driver size - its determined by driver and speaker design.

You can run inefficient speakers and efficient speakers at the same SPL. You just need a bigger wattage to get an inefficient speaker at the same SPL as an inefficient speaker.
tarmac and steve-lang like this.

Steve - I'm a sound engineer with two decades plus in almost every aspect of sound engineering.

Everyone thinks tuning cars is hard ... Try tuning a concert PA before time alignment was a given

You don't make one owner happy ... You make tens of thousands satisfied. If that's possible.

Haha I only installed gear for about 3 years and my limited knowledge told me that either one of you had to much time on your hands or a bigger background then just reading hifi magazines.
