Well over the last year ive come from 96 and dropped myself to 76kg plus put on muscle. During that time i have eaten pretty much what i want but as takeaway is concerned, i usually ate subway. I honestly havnt eaten maccas in about 2 months. The last time i ate it, my body rejected it and i had the shits for a day. 3 months before that was the 2nd last time i ate maccas. Again, same deal.
Its a matter of not eating when you are bored and doing a fair share of exercise. As an electrician, im up and down a ladder hundreds of times a day literally so it wasnt that hard for myself. I personally think i lost 15 of the 20kg in the last 4 months from running 3km's a day, doing an intense bike corse for 45mins at the gym 3 days a week and just eating properly. Bottom line is, its about determination. When you reach your desired weight (mines about 70-73kg), keeping it off is another matter. Just remember, if you bulk up heaps on muscle, be prepared to continue your exercise, if you just plain stop, it will turn to fat as i have heard. |

Have you noticed any difference in your diabetes? i.e. a bird at work lost some weight and she had to take a lot less insulin (?) than when she was bigger. Brendon

Nice one Tom!!!! 35kg is crazy!
Small update with my own health....Was 103kg about 2 months ago, dropped 3kg pretty quickly just by cutting out Coca-Cola completely. After this, my work got a dietician to do eating plans for every employee. I got my eating plan, and really stuck to it. 6 weeks later, I'm down to 90kg and I can see my 6 pack starting to come back! Its not a diet as such, but a plan, which doesnt really sacrifice anything. It basically cleans the diet up, cuts out excessive salt, fat and processed carbs, and in combination with the correct proportions of each type of food, the correct number of meals, and at the correct time of day, its worked really well. I still eat extremely well, without having to resort to rabbit food! All this weight loss has been done with no solid exercise, because I've been so busy with uni, work, etc, I havent had a chance to keep my gym program going solidly as it has been before I started the eating plan. From next week, I'm going to get back into my routine of 4 times a week at the gym, and I'll see what I can achieve in the next 2 months I'm aiming to stay the same weight, but bulk on a lot more muscle than what I have now. |
