I started going to the gym again last week. Still can't straighten my arms! Will never go straight back into my regular routine again when I've stopped for 2 months.

35kg is tops! I think I'm lucky not having a weight problem... well I dont think I do...

Cut fat. Cut carbs at night. Ensure you're getting protein. Lots of water. Break up to 5-6 meals a day.

That should sum it up

^^ What he said... My Nutritionist put me on a similar sort of routine.. i lost 15kg in about 3 weeks.

Altho, I had no carbs, just a serve of basmarti (lo carb) rice at lunch. Heaps of Protein tho. Tuna and Meat were popular.

Plus regular exercise of course.

Really obvious but i find just always watching your calorie intake and trying to match it in exercise at the gym works the treat, i still eat crap but it just means i have to work harder at the gym and as of the last 6 weeks im down nearly 8 kilos, when you consider i weighed 73 thats not too bad at all

Sorry to hijack, but can anybody recommend some good protein powders? I'm having trouble on the other end of the scale ie. I want to put on another 10-15kgs.

I've always been told to just eat and then eat some more, but that doesn't work when you have a fast metabolism and quite active.

I play alot of sport but I haven't hit the gym for weeks now as I feel I'm not getting much out of it (mainly just toning, which I DON'T need). I understand about the more weights, less reps business to BUILD muscle but nothing seems to happen.

Products I've tried are Whey Protein Isolate, Creatine and some Mass Building sugar supplement. Creatine was the most productive with a gain of around 7kgs over 3mths, but I understand Creatine is mostly used for recovery.

Ideas?

I use Pro Rated by Protein USA because it's quite cheap with my Body Plus membership @ Flex Fitness.

I get it for about $68 for 2.2kg tub.

How much are you eating per day wrxplod? What are your stats?

EDIT: 10-15kg is a LOT. Expect it to take quite some time if you're trying to do it "natural"

I eat the usual carbs for breakfast (toast or cereal), morning tea (pie/musesli bar/crisps etc), more carbs for lunch (roll/sandwich/bun x 2) with normally meat and cheese + soft drink etc, afternoon tea (crisps/muesli bar), dinner (usually vegies with fish/meat/chicken) along with dessert afterwards.

I always try and hit the gym after 7pm instead of early morning workouts.

I'm 6'2 and weigh 70kg.

Yeah I'm not after overnight gain. Just want to put on weight steady whilst keeping it on. I can fluctuate in weight on a day-to-day basis of up to 3kg.
