So starting gym again, after over a year off it and im looking at getting fully into it. Looking at muscle building and fat loss.

What routines do people do in regards to lifting weights and cardio?
What supplements do u use?

What foods do u cook/ eat how much a day?

i didnt really change what i ate when i started the gym, i just made sure i ate enough, i mean i still think i eat healthy though lol.
Started on the protien shakes, only change i made, just one after each workout. Been on the redback, tastes good as well.

In terms of workout, how often do you plan on going to the gym, you really need to go at least 3 times a week, i go 4 times a week. When your doing weights dont try and cram every muscle into the one session, you need to keep the flow to the one area. I break my four sessions down into Day 1: Triceps, Day 2: Legs, wrists/forearms & abs, Day 3: Biceps and Shoulders, Day 4: Chest & Back. Focusing a complete session on one muscle group helps break down the muscles completley and directs the flow all to them, itll be the best for the long run in gaining muscle.

Yeah I swim every morning and work out normally 4-5 days a week.

You need to eat eat eat. I drink a shake or two a day and take a good multivitamin in the morning.

As the guys said seperate your weight sessions. Back, legs, arms, shoulders etc. Swimming is great for toning and cardio, plus your breathing gets way better and its low low impact if you have dodgey joints.

6 small meals a day.

When i matched 6 small meals a day and cut my carb intake dramatically, my weight dropped quite a bit.

In regards to weights, i used to break up my workouts into 3 days. Day 1: Biceps and Chest Day 2: Back and legs Day 3: Triceps and Shoulders.

-wieghts. day 1: chest, biceps. day 2: shoulders, triceps. day 3: legs, inner core, back. day 4: rest. back to day 1.

8 hours sleep.

diet: no supplements. good food and lots of it

i found smoking rock is the easiest way to trim excess fat.

A few mates used Hydroxycut when they started their weightloss programs. Helps stimulate metabolism which WITH training helps lose weight. Actually lost quite alot of weight!! The down fall, once you stop gym work....it comes back on twice as bad, so the idea is to use it and workout and CONTINUALLY keep up with fitness/exercise.
You dont have to cut out your fat intake either. Just know that it takes approx 3 days for your body to turn junkfood etc into body fat. So aslong as you burn those extra intake calories each day (ie: do a extra 30mins on crosstrainer) you will be fine.

End of the day -
weightloss = more cardio than calorie intake.

Or you could just go with wizz & water

Day 1: Shoulders, biceps and abs.. Day 2: Chest, triceps and abs.. Day 3: Back and legs... day 4: rest... day 5: abs and cardio.. day 6: cardio... day 7: rest.

Make sure ur eating properly and plenty and take a protein supplement (ideally a shake) or even a bar. Break ur meals down from 3 times a day, making sure u eat every two hours.

Drink a shitload of water, half the time ur hungry ur really just thirsty

Cut back on the junkfood as much as possible. Drop the sunday morning quarter pounder after a nite on the piss and eat a juicy protein filled steak instead.

The thing is, every person is different....what works for someone might not work for you.

Here are some general tips.

- Drink shitloads of water.
- Get as much sleep as you can.
- Eat smaller, more frequent meals.

As for diet, its not hard...just cut out excessive and unneccessary fats, and balance your carbs and protein.
