hey dudes

does anyone deal with interstate freight?

I'm looking for a trailable yacht and as always they're a dime a dozen over east and crackpipe prices here - was thinking about flying over and hiring a 4x4 and towing one back.

The idea was immediately dismissed then I thought what about freight!

~6-7 meters long on trailer and ~1600kgs, give or take a few hundred

Have also managed to loss exhaust for the golf as well

e-go was pretty good for me on the 2 occasions that i used them

both times was depot to depot

first time it was 4 magnesium wheels with tyres and 1 without, from adelaide to brisbane it was around $50 which was unbelievable cheap but then i got a statement saying i owed $12 or something because the measurements i gave was off

then the 2nd time i used them was for fender braces and front and rear strut braces, that cost about $30 from adelaide to sydney

the only problem for me is that its a long way to adelaide (close to 2 hours each way) but its still a lot cheaper than what most companies charge, one local company quoted me over $350 to ship the wheels and i still would have had to drop them off in adelaide myself

Bumping this thread for the assistance that it has given me.

Managed to get a quote to move a reasonably sized 30kg box from Sydney to Perth for a staggering $30

For the love of god. Do not use E-Go/Hunter Express. I am still waiting for my 6 speed to arrive 23 days later from NSW.

Apparently coming in a container today/tomorrow.

Customer Service is useless @ E-Go (Online front company for Hunter Express), who are part of CLC Couriers, i believe. Lots of people have had lost stock and issues with them, and they have been causing me a great deal of stress while I wait for my consignment to arrive.

Stock coming from NSW is on-Forwarded to PEP for delivery.

Not worth the risk mate trust me on this.

Hmm, thanks for pointing this out Rich.
I'll do the ring around this afternoon to see who else can do the pickup and delivery task for me.

I saw the posts regarding Nicci and Mike from Allied Express, has any one used them lately (as the posts are from quite some time ago).
Failing that, who else should I be looking that can deliver within a reasonable time frame?
