Vyper, i have mine set to "controlled" and i am 800m roughly from the exchange in Joondalup. I get "drop out's" maybe once every 2 days... but i pull some decent speeds. I find if i take it up to "thrillseeker" i get good speeds but get cut off all the time...

But im going to switch mine to "standard" now... and see how it goes for speed and stability.

As for internet companies, i've been with iiNet for 5 years now, and i have had NO problem's with them what so ever. Been with OptusNet, Amcom, Bigpond and iPrimus and they were no where near as good.

Got my 24mbps connection coming soon.

My TPG 1.5mb is cancelled on the 8th, and the Amnet 24mb adsl2 connection will be activated after that

just did the connection here at home. Ghey. It's suppose to be a 1.5mb/s service too. However we have been told that our line is a tad shonky. We have dug up the phone line several times over the years and retwitched it ourselves...also are about 10kms from the Medina exchange....
