I know there is no way I would be able to/have enough time to put something together that is half this good. And like you have said, he can only do so much with the vids he is given, if they dont have much footage of libs in them what can he do...?

I am sorry that you're disappointed with the video. Clearly you
had expectations that have not been met.

You have indicated that you went to the effort of organising for the
RS Liberty Club to meetup prior and cruise together. I was unaware of
this on the day. Did you contact one of the organisers prior to
discuss your expectations about getting this on video ?

As far as putting clips of Colin himself in the video, there can be
problems with copyright. As you can imagine, I don't need a copyright
take-down notice.

The cruise generated over 60GB of video... lots of it donated by a
greate crew of people. There are heaps of great bits that don't
make it into the video for many reasons. This can be because scenes
are too dark, blured, or the lens has dirt on it... or simply because
a 25 minute video would send people to sleep.

Next year when you're planning to all rock up together grab a 1080
video camera and get some footage of it. Give one of the organisers
the memory card and also have a chat about your expectations.

I know heaps of people like seeing their car in the video, but on
the day nobody knows whats going to happen. There are no second
takes, and the RS Libertys that were in it got in because they
were in the right place at the right time. There is no order to the
cars leaving a meet point, nor can we control the traffic lights
which disperse the cars. ALL the cars that got in there were in the
right place at the right time... no planning.

To recap: There was no deliberate plot to remove you guys or anyone else
that did not make it in there... And I like to avoid copyright problems.

Key board baggers…who needs them! Guys, a lot of time and effort went into organising this event ; you have expectations, you organise an event …it takes a shed load of time, effort and money.
Get a grip…the guys did an amazing job, I know because I was there. Well done to all involved – looking forward to next year.
