Couple from a night club gig.
5d, 24-70 f/2.8L, 430EX II, stofen.

Manual ISO 800, 1/30, f/2.8, Flash on ETTL

did you use a diffuser on the flash?? colours look nice and soft...not washed out, nice shadows

Yeah used the Stofen Omni-Bounce and pointed the flash head at 45 degrees.
Photos are straight off camera with a little bit of sharpening.

As it was a night club, the walls and ceilings were painted either black or dark colours so there was no chance to bounce the flash.

Haha, I know the blonde in the top 2 photos. Were they taken at InsommniaX or Studio 14723...whatever its called these days?

Here are a few from NT and QLD with Olympus C-770 point&shoot using manual settings....and the whole 4 megapixels. Yep, looking forward to buying DLSR soon....
