I shot raw, no post processing other than sharpening.
Camera settings were on the post.

Normally I would make more of an effort to edit, but tbh thought they looked good.

If you check out the gallery on my site, only the pictures taken on the dance floor look a little washed out and I believe this is because of the smoke machine.

All good, wasn't having a go. Different eyes, different monitors, etc

I'll make a suggestion though - for non-crucial type photos, have a go at shooting jpg. It's something the 5D does very well, and you're using good glass so colour and skin tones come up a treat.

I shot RAW out of habit and because It was my first attempt at night club photos, so I wanted to make sure they were salvageable if my settings were off.
Will give JPG a go, cheers!

Yeh that's fair enough, I always did the same with my 300D and 30D when shooting electronica gigs (have shot them for many years now). I went out and decided to give JPG a go mainly due to the mammoth size of the files the 5D writes, but also to experiment. The photos I put up earlier were shot in JPG, using just the "Faithful" mode. I couldn't believe my eyes when I browsed through them at home. The camera is such a different beast from the xxxD and xxD lineups, and as I mentioned earlier, good quality glass makes so much difference.

Also don't be scared to shoot at f4 and push the ISO. You can shoot ISO1250-1600 all night long and not see any side-effects. Try and use f4 if you get groups of 3+ posing for you. More often than not if you shoot at f2.8 with a group of people, someone is going to end up being out of focus. Then again, by the time you resize for the web and maybe massage with a touch of sharpening, people would be none the wiser. Just something to keep in mind if the images are a little more special than club shots.

Hope this helps

oh, ps. have a play with second-curtain function

Yeah I did notice that I had to be very careful with groups shooting at 2.8, but like you say for web quality photos most were salvageable. Might give ISO 1600 a go and narrow out the aperture a little.
I have tried second-curtain but people tend to move after the pre-ettl flash and can end up with some funny facial expressions.

You have the MK II now so high ISO is definitely not a problem for you anymore
