Cheers Craig, no fill flash on any of the shots - just did a bump to brightness and vibrance on the Lightroom import - it seems to suit the recent beach shots.

Went to St Georges Terrace South Perth.

Not 100% happy with the photo.

Just from looking at your exif data...

# Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 16/10 second ===> 1.6 second
Longer exposure. Play around with various shots...its only ones and zeros. Below is a stitch I did of 4 shots at f16 with a 30sec exposure. Different shot from yours as I shot a bit wider, but its my attempt at the obligatory South Perth foreshore shot
Its a little bit skewed from the stitch....must pay more attention to levels when trying this again, or just get a pano head.

# Lens F-Number / F-Stop = 56/10 ===> ƒ/5.6
Try using a smaller aperture, depending on your lens there may not be any increased sharpness shooting past f11 or f16 but experiment with that.

# ISO Speed Ratings = 400
Drop your ISO to 100. With a 1.6 second exposure I can only assume you are using a tripod ...so no need to ramp the ISO up the shorten exposure time.

I dont know much about Nikon with stabilising (VR I think it is for Nikon) anyhow, if I'm shooting on a tripod I turn off the Image Stabilising as I dont need the lens vibrating.

Thats my 2¢

Appreciate all your comments and tips!!

I tried using various ISO and I should have played with the app settings more

Yeah I turned the VR off when I was using the tripod.

Thanks again.

try shooting just after sunset/last light so you still get a bit of colour in the sky.
